Climate change institute was incorporated in 2017, launched as a non – governmental organization and registered with the national NGO Bureau of Uganda with registration NoINDR142351773NB.

Core Values
James Matovu (Executive Director)
At CCIU James is in charge of managing the operations of the entire organization. He has the ability to lead, motivate others, and take on strategic planning responsibilities that require leadership qualities like influencing people at CCIU.
Mr. Travis Lubowa Mwanje (Deputy ED)
Mr. Mwanje is responsible for ensuring the organization's activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission. Leading, managing, and developing the organization's employees, volunteers, and organizational culture. Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the organization's programs (including their impact)
Caroline Zawedde (Secretary General)
She is responsible for disseminating information to all members and stakeholders, giving proper notice of any meetings and timely distribution of materials such as agendas and meeting minutes. Additionally, the Caroline is the custodian of the organization's records and related materials.
